“These images are from her series, Elderly Animals, which she began after spending a year caring for her mother who has Alzheimer’s disease. Instead of photographing her family, she found an outlet for her experience in a series of portraits of aging farm animals. On Tuesday my family lost one of its members, our beloved Doberman, Connie. She passed away during surgery that afternoon. It was very unexpected and we are heartbroken.. Thanks for everyones prayers and well wishes and in the end, condolences. She was a special dog with a great smile, literally, and she will be missed every day.
Rest easy, Concetta.
